Accountant

As an Accountant at Zidnify, you will ensure that our financial operations and product features fully comply with Uzbekistan’s accounting and tax regulations. You’ll also help design and validate the local tax logic in our app, so that every user can rely on Zidnify to file accurate, legal reports.
You will work closely with our product and development teams to bridge real-world accounting rules with software logic, ensuring accuracy and trust at every step.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and review company financial records, invoices, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with Uzbekistan’s tax and accounting laws, including Faktura Uzasbo and VAT reporting.
- Prepare and file tax declarations, payments, and reports in collaboration with management.
- Help the product team verify calculations for VAT, income tax, payroll contributions, etc.
- Assist in building and testing localized accounting templates and reports for the Zidnify app.
- Liaise with IT Park, banks, and government authorities on financial and regulatory matters.
- Support the development of training materials and help guides for users (with the Support Advisor).
- Advise management on accounting best practices, cash flow planning, and cost optimization.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience in Uzbekistan.
- Solid knowledge of Uzbek tax law, VAT, and SME accounting standards.
- Experience with e-invoicing systems (Faktura Uzasbo) and payroll reporting.
- Working proficiency in Uzbek and Russian (English is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
Nice to have
- Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems (1C, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Familiarity with startups or tech companies.
- Interest in digital transformation, automation, or fintech.
- Ability to translate complex tax concepts into simple, user-friendly explanations.
